Even through change, children should feel safe, supported, and central in their parents’ lives. That’s what I help families work toward.

Ryan Burky

Paralegal

Having recently moved from Canada, Ryan is a dedicated family lawyer with a passion for helping families navigate separation with clarity, compassion, and control.  He is currently working as a paralegal with us and is in the process of gaining admission to practise in Australia.

He holds a Juris Doctor from Robson Hall Faculty of Law at the University of Manitoba in Canada, where he practised exclusively in family law following his admission to the Manitoba Bar. His experience supporting clients through separation has equipped him with a deep understanding of the legal and emotional challenges families face – and the importance of resolving matters in a way that preserves dignity and communication, especially when children are involved.

Ryan offers clients a thoughtful, collaborative approach to resolving disputes outside of court. He firmly believes that no two families are the same – and that lasting solutions come from empowering people to shape their own future, rather than relying on rigid legal outcomes.

When he’s not helping us work with clients, you’ll find Ryan running with one of Melbourne’s local run clubs, cheering on the Western Bulldogs, or casting a line while fishing in Gippsland.

Even through change, children should feel safe, supported, and central in their parents’ lives. That’s what I help families work toward.
