Max Paterson

I am a passionate family lawyer with a unique breadth of experience.

After attaining my Law Degree with Honours I honed my Family Law skills at a large city firm where I assisted all manner of clients from sports stars, to Members of Parliament to rock stars and high net worth individuals.

I then established my own family law firm, and worked more closely with a small coterie of clients, several of whom remain lifelong friends.

I cofounded “Settify,” a technology start-up company which I grew into a ‘scale up’ business, leading a team of 30 staff and serving over 500 law firms throughout Australia and internationally. I love to work with company founders. Whether in tech, small or medium business, or any growing enterprise. I have a unique insight into the complex junction of Family Law and business ownership.

My approach is to partner with my clients, and I see our relationship as a collaboration. It’s your life, and you are empowered to make your own choices, but I am here with you to provide expert and strategic advice, and to champion the outcomes you seek.

When I’m not lawyering or consulting with tech companies, I love acting and making theatre.
